Curiosity Is The BirthPlace of Opportunity

Here's 5 reasons why being curious about what’s going on in our strategic partner's (or anyone’s) world is a good thing:

  1. It shows you care

I mean this is just a nice thing to do anyway and the world would be a much better place if everyone did that, but it does also have a nice side effective of really strengthening a relationship

  2. You'll uncover new opportunities for you and your business

We'd all love to believe that people will just automatically think of us when anything even remotely linked to what we do comes up and then proactively get in touch.

I hate to break it to you but it just aint the truth. Be more intentional about finding new opportunities within existing or even new relationships

  3. You'll uncover new opportunity for others

If not you, then someone else.

You'll be doing both the person you introduce a favour, and the partner by putting them in touch with someone awesome.

(note: just in case you needed reminding - only refer awesome people, you're reputation is on the line)

And you never know when the law of reciprocity will kick in

  4. Maybe they really needed someone to ask

Running a business can be hard. And lonely.

You might just be the person that helps lift someone out of a slump.

  5. It's a more enjoyable way to be

And if you're not enjoying it, you’re not doing it right.

    So....

What can you do to start being more curious with your partners?
